'100 Arches'
2014
Installation on-site

The project ‘100 Arches’ is a permanent installation for the two sites of St John’s Primary School, at Lower Redland Road and Worrall Road. The installation shuns a singular formal approach in favour of a subtly connected collection of associations; sculptures, vitrine displays, architectural add-ons, scripted activities, photo wallpapers, found material, conceptual gestures, books, murals and 3D prints.
Based on the simple concept of an arch connecting two points, a multitude of gestures span the two buildings inviting pupils to add contributions and ideas of their own. For each
arch, a pair, a counterpart or its other half can be found when visiting the second school site; so what is a
crescent here can be a
croissant there.
